Delivering learning for the Civil Service and the Public Sector

Since the 1 April 2011, the National School of Government re-joined the Cabinet Office, and ceased to be a non ministerial department. Our core function hasn’t changed. We continue to deliver a wide range of learning services, primarily for the Civil Service. We also reach across the wider public sector from the leadership setting policy and strategy to those delivering on the front-line. We understand the pressures on public sector resources, and we aim to deliver affordable training that helps make a difference to your performance in the workplace.

The National School is a key delivery partner of Civil Service Learning. This is the new organisation set up to build the overall capability and effectiveness of the Civil Service. Through cost-effective learning and development it aims to ensure the provision of excellent public service.
