Consultancy and Tailored Programmes

Our position at the very heart of government, as a non-ministerial department, means we give you access to the very best in terms of resources, connections and experience of government and training. Our tutor team has an enormous range of experience in practically every aspect of ministerial and Parliamentary work. We can therefore offer that experience not simply in the classroom but also in tailored work and consultancy. It may be that your department is concerned about a particular process or area of work - perhaps the system used for briefing the ministerial team or providing speeches for ministers. In a few days, we can review those systems and processes and recommend improvements.

We can also spend longer and examine all the systems and processes that support a team of ministers. We have done this with some success in the Department for Education and the Home Office, providing each department with a report and recommendations to improve its performance.

Tailored programmes

Most organisations will feel at some time or other that not all their learning objectives can be met by programmes that are 'off-the-peg'. With this 'tailoring-to-fit' of existing programmes, we work closely with your organisation, listening, questioning and developing a strong sense of what you need and how you want it delivered. Examples, exercises and simulated situations can then be related directly to the experiences of your colleagues, providing learning that is coloured by and slanted towards the specific learning needs and objectives of your organisation.

Bespoke programmes

We can also carry out detailed diagnostic work with your organisation to design a programme that is unique to the requirements of your organisation. Clients usually derive the most from developmental training when they are fully engaged with the process. Each bespoke programme is based on your organisation's own needs and objectives.
