Next step for employers

Employers considering how they can get the best out of the Foundation Degree in Government should contact Francis Coxhead to discuss the following questions:
  • What do you want the FDiG to do for your organisation?
  • How might FDiG fit with your existing L&D provision?
  • Have you any gaps you want FDiG to fill?
  • Are there any specialist areas you want FDiG to address?
  • Who would most benefit from FDIG? (And how would you select)
  • What support will you need to put in place for students, line managers and mentors?
  • Would you be able to participate in the design and monitoring of the programme through the practitioners group?

Also to be considered should be:
  • Who will be the main strategic contact in the dept (responsible for the decisions/budgeting)
  • Who will be responsible for the practical side? (applications and selection, policy on mentors and support to line managers and students
  • How many students are you likely to send and when would you want them to start?
