Simply 'Beta' Leadership: working together to make a bigger difference

The Civil Service Leadership Steering Group developed and deployed the Civil Service Leadership Model in 2006. In partnership with the National School they then launched the highly successful Basecamp for new senior civil servants in 2007. Now the Group is looking to take the next step in meeting the Permanent Secretaries' Management Group priority of "creating confident, visible and collaborative leaders who get the best out of all our talent".

Our inaugural cross-government leadership development conference, "Simply 'Beta' Leadership: working together to make a bigger difference will introduce a draft - or "beta" - Leadership Development Framework to the HR community. This will provide a real platform for sharing our expertise, achievements and priorities across departments for the first time. The conference will be highly interactive and will draw heavily on the leadership development experience and expertise within the Service.
