National School appoints new head of Leadership and Strategy Practice

Chris Fisher, of the Department of Work and Pensions, joined the National School of Government on 25 January as the organisation’s new head of Leadership and Strategy Practice.

Chris moves from the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) where he has worked for most of his Civil Service career. With a proven track record in operations Chris also brings with him experiences of working in HR, Fraud, IT & Consultancy and Management Services. He also worked for the Home Office Immigration Service.

The Leadership and Strategy Practice at the National School offers public service leaders the skills, knowledge and context needed for the challenges of today and beyond. In helping

Director of Learning Delivery at the School, Jonathan Miller commented, “With his strong background in public service delivery and direct experience of ‘hands-on’ leadership we are very pleased to welcome Chris to the school. It is an important time for us and someone with Chris’s experience can only strengthen what we offer.
