The following websites are gateways to key electronic libraries and/or information sources for policy evaluation. The list is by no means exhaustive, but will provide links to other electronic libraries, networks and information sources.

Campbell Collaboration - covers education, crime and justice, social welfare.

The Campbell [C2] Crime & Justice Coordinating Group is an international network of individuals that will prepare, update and rapidly disseminate systematic reviews of high-quality research conducted worldwide, on effective methods to reduce crime and delinquency or improve justice.

The Campbell [C2] Education Coordinating Group is an international network of volunteer professionals who will prepare, update and rapidly disseminate systematic reviews of high-quality educational and training interventions conducted worldwide that are aimed to improve education and learning.

The Campbell [C2] Social Welfare Coordinating Group (SWCG) is an international network of people interested in the effects of social programs, who prepare, update, and disseminate high-quality systematic reviews of research conducted worldwide on effective methods to promote social welfare, health, and social justice.

Cochrane Collaboration -covers mainly medicine and health care, and some health policy, management of change, and economic evaluation.

DfES Centre for Evidence-Informed Policy and Practice - covers a range of policy areas including social policy and social care, social inequalities, public health, children, neighbourhood research, economic evaluation.

ESRC Centre for EBPP and the Evidence Network - covers mainly education, health promotion and public health.

NHS Centre for Reviews and Dissemination - covers mainly health and health care, and some social policy and social care issues.

Social Science Information Gateway (SOSIG) - see Intute is a free, online gateway to high quality Internet resources. It offers users the chance to read descriptions of resources available over the Internet and to access those resources directly. The Catalogue points to thousands of resources, and each one has been selected and described by a librarian or academic, making this the Internet equivalent of an academic research library for the social sciences.
