Anti-social Behaviour Intensive Family Support Projects

On 16 October 2006, the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) published a report (230: Anti-social Behaviour Intensive Family Support Projects: an evaluation of six pioneering projects) which finds that intensive family support can turn around anti-social behaviour in eight out of 10 cases. This is a summary document of the two year evaluation which examines the impact of such projects in terms of costs and benefits, effectiveness and lessons for dissemination. In 2003 a small number of local authorities, housing associations and charities set up specialist ASB rehabilitation projects to work with families who are at risk of eviction or who have been evicted from their homes due to anti-social behaviour. The projects support service users to help them address the underlying causes of their behaviour.
