How reliable are the Census results?

Uncertainty about results in 'very hard to count' areas.

A report published by the Statistics Commission on 23 October 2003 (The 2001 Census in Westminster: interim report), questions the accuracy of 2001 Census figures in 'very hard to count' areas like Westminster. Among its conclusions, the report calls for the Office of National Statistics to revisit Westminster population estimates, with a population count in 2006 and a more multi-lateral approach to population estimates in future.
