An evaluation of the community contracts pilot programme

A report published by Communities and Local Government (CLG) on 4 January 2010 presents the results of an evaluation of community contracts, covering lessons emerging from their implementation plus their impact on empowerment, local services, local communities and local democracy.

Community contracts (also known as neighbourhood agreements or local charters) are voluntary agreements between local service providers and residents that set out standards of service and priorities for action, as well as any commitments that residents have taken on themselves.
