On 7 January 2010, Communities and Local Government (CLG) published a report which examines the economic cost of crime in relation to the introduction and operation of the New Deal for Communities (NDC) programme between 2000-01 and 2004-05. It looks at evidence which suggests the NDC programme resulted in reduced levels of crime and, consequently, reduced costs associated with crime.
