First progress report of the Ethnic Minority Employment Task Force

On 23 November 2004, the Ethnic Minority Employment Task Force (EMETF) published a progress report (Equality, opportunity, success: year 1 progress report), which delivers the Government's cross-Whitehall ethnic minority employment strategy. It shows the evidence base for the strategy and sets out the achievements of the Task Force in its first year in overseeing the development of a range of policies and programmes that are aimed at ensuring that ethnic minorities are able to fulfil their potential at school; have access to the kind of tailored and flexible support that they need; and do not face employer discrimination as they seek to find jobs.

The report demonstrates those areas in which the Task Force will seek to further develop policies to improve the employment position of ethnic minority people.

The report can be viewed on the EMETF website (PDF: 1.8MB, Pages: 76)
