The Government Innovators Network

The US portal, Government Innovators Network, allows national, state and local government policy makers and senior managers to access news, reports and upcoming events focused on successful government initiatives.

It aims to provide online events about case studies, best practices and programmes which can be adapted in other jurisdictions. Eventually, the portal will have the capability to connect peers to peers who have the same interests and are, for example, at an implementation phase and need specific advice.

Information is arranged under topic headings e.g. Criminal justice and Health and social services. Under each are more specific sub-topics e.g. 'corrections,' 'probation' or 'parole'.

The portal was produced by Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government and is powered by the Ash Institute for Democratic Governance and Innovation, a research body for democratic practice which aims to strengthen global democracy. It aims to expand to include worldwide innovation.
