A publication (Sustainability and social justice) released by the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) on 17 May 2004, identifies powerful synergies between sustainable development and social justice at the community level, nationally and in the international arena. Clean, green and attractive neighbourhoods, foster safe and strong communities and improve the quality of life. This publication covers six key areas for a sustainable future: energy, transport, international climate change, waste, sustainable communities and sustainable agriculture.
