5 new research programmes from JRF
On 6 November 2003, the Joseph Rowntree Foundation announced investment
of up to £1.5m a year on the following research programmes:
- Migration (including national and neighbourhood issues)
- Governance of public services (including means for disadvantaged
communities to engage in planning and delivery of services)
- Drugs and alcohol (including drinking and employment, and social
deprivation and substance misuse)
- Independent living (including barriers to better personal support
for older and disabled people)
- Differences in parenting (to improve understanding of different
parenting styles and varying support needs of families).
