Civil and Social Justice Survey findings

On 25 October 2007, the Centre for Crime and Justice Studies (CCJS) published a report (The problems of everyday life) which presents findings from the Civil and Social Justice Survey. The report offers a detailed picture of the nature, impact and pattern of people's experiences of civil justice problems, together with information on crime victimisation, thus highlighting how the experience of social injustice is concentrated among the poorest and most vulnerable. It finds a "strong association" between criminal victimisation, social exclusion and people experiencing a broad range of civil justice problem, with the 'socially excluded' appearing to be at particular risk.
