Localism and diversity for NHS reform

New directions for NHS reform

On 25 September 2003, the New Local Government Network published a pamphlet (Localising the National Health Service: gaining greater equity through localism and diversity) by Health Secretary John Reid. It outlines proposals for health care reform which are locally driven, locally responsive and locally accountable. Policy debates about crime prevention and education funding are being similarly informed.
