On 24 June 2005, HM Treasury published the supplementary guidance to the Green Book, Appraisal and Evaluation in Central Government, following a successful consultation in 2004
During the consultation period (October 2004 - January 2005), Treasury received around 20 detailed responses from other government departments, agencies, academics and other commentators, which produced many suggestions to improve the drafting.
