On 23 October 2008, the Audit Commission published national school survey results for 2008.
The survey is a collaborative tool developed by the Audit Commission in partnership with Ofsted, Estyn, the Wales Audit Office, councils, headteacher and governor associations. It has been in operation as a national annual online exercise since 2002.
The survey’s primary purpose is to act as a source of evidence about schools' perceptions of the support provided by councils and the services supplied locally for children and young people.
