On 29 October 2004, the Institute for Public Policy and Research (ippr) published a report (Who Cares? Building the Social Care Workforce) which examines how to build the social care workforce and makes recommendations for achieving this.
The report draws on discussions from a series of ippr policy seminars, held in 2004, to examine the impact of recent changes and the challenges in professionalising, training and supplying a social care workforce able to meet current and forthcoming demand and expectations.
