On 6 December 2007, the Building and Social Housing Foundation (BSHF) published a report (Out in the open: providing accommodation, promoting understanding and recognising rights of Gypsies and Travellers) which is the outcome of a consultation held by to identify ways in which the shortage of accommodation for Gypsies and Travellers can be addressed and to find ways in which to improve the relationship between Gypsies and Travellers and the settled community.
